Super Stetson!

Here are some of Stetson's latest tricks -- he can hold his head up so well! And you can even get a glimpse of his rarely-seen neck. He actually smiles and laughs all the time, but he's a little camera shy, so we can never document it!

Shopping with Stetson

The weather was so warm while we were in Cleveland that I ended up buying a short-sleeved shirt to wear. While were were shopping at Old Navy, we tried this hat on Stetson. It was so cute that we had to buy it! Besides, a boy named Stetson should own a few hats.

Cleveland Brief

We just returned from Cleveland yesterday. The weather was deceiving; cool and sunny without a cloud in sight. However I am glad because I was afraid Lacy would burst in to tears if it were cold and gray (which it will be most of the year). The weather was perfect as we searched for a place to live. We will get some pics of the house as it becomes more "official" that we will be living there. My favorite part of the home is the fact that it has a yard I can take care of. We found it early in our trip and had some more time on our hands so we decided to drive to Kirtland and see the temple. The tour was well done, but without any effort to bring a converting spirit. I guess they do not use the Kirtland Temple as a converting tool. Maybe it was the tour guide, but there was no talk of sacrifice. Needless to say, the spirit was felt, but not due to the way in which they present the history or purposes of the temple. From where we will be living, Kirtland is just a quick 20 min. drive away. The trip was scenic and Kirtland was green as. The rest of the trip was spent simply exploring the area and getting excited to move. "Gator" took his first commercial airplane trip. He is a true airman. His PaPa will be so proud, and his dad is happy as too. Stetson slept most the time on the flight and did not fuss. When he's awake, he laughs and eats. He is heaps of fun and chubby as.

Stetson David Chaffee

Here are recent pictures of our little guy during one of his many at-home photo shoots. In the first two years of marriage, we took only a handful of pictures. In the last two months, we've taken hundreds. But when your subject is this cute, it's easy to go overboard. Stetson is happy and healthy -- and huge! At his last doctor appointment, he weighed 15 lbs., 6 oz. Don't you just want to pinch those cheeks?!

Yielding to Social Pressure

Well, we've finally done it... In a constant attempt to follow in Lee and Vanessa's footsteps, we've created a blog ourselves. Actually, it was just easier than trying to respond to everyone's requests for pictures of our handsome Stetson. This way, you can check on Stetson's rapid growth any time you like, and we won't spend all of our time waiting to attach pictures to individual emails.
